away peacefully on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Colchester East
Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, she was the daughter of the
late Millard and Dorothy (Smith) Rector.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner
Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Shirley’s family will
receive friends from 4-6 p.m., Sunday, December 29, 2024. Funeral
service will be held 1 p.m., Monday, December 30, 2024, at Brunswick
Street United Church, 250 Brunswick Street, Truro, Reverend John
Parsons officiating. Reception will follow in the dining hall. Spring
interment in Watson Cemetery, 1997 East Prince Street, Salmon
River.
