Sharon Raymonde Barron
– 73, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024 at Glen Haven
Manor, New Glasgow. Born in Kennetcook, she was a daughter of the late
Lester and Almina “Miney” Ettinger Barron.
Sharon was very proud
to be a nurse. She loved to travel and went on many road trips with
her husband, Kevin. She belonged to Colchester Heritage Rug Hookers
and made many long lasting friendships. Sharon was very creative,
loved gardening, cooking, baking and spending time with her
grandchildren. Always a love for music, Sharon went to many concerts
and even had a chance to see The Beatles.
Sharon is survived by
her husband, Kevin Lynds, Valley; children, Mark and Shannon
Dalrymple, both of East Gore, Allana Dalrymple, Halifax;
grandchildren, Erica and Chase; sisters, Helen Romans, Windsor, Evelyn
Sutherland, Truro; brother Donnie Miller, Windsor; several nieces and
nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Merlin, Murray and
Christopher Barron.
The family wishes to
extend a special thank you to all of the staff at Glen Haven Manor for
the wonderful care and compassion shown to Sharon and her family
during her stay as well as the VON for allowing Sharon to stay at home
as long as possible.
Arrangements have been entrusted
to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55
Young Street, Truro where a service to celebrate and remember Sharon
will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, July 27, 2024, Reverend April Hart
officiating. A reception will follow. Webcasting of the service will
be available starting at 10:55 am. Interment will be in Kennetcook
Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Sharon’s
memory to Kennetcook Cemetery or a charity of choice are
