Sharon Betts (Archibald) Smith – 83, Truro, passed
away peacefully on Saturday, October 12, 2024. Born in Truro, she was
a daughter of the late Captain Clarence McDougall Archibald and Mary
Kathleen “Mamie” (Betts) Archibald.
Sharon is
survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Richard. Sharon
was a gentle soul who was always so friendly, and always had a smile
on her face. She loved to laugh and joke, and thoroughly enjoyed
playing cards and crib with family and friends. She had a real passion
for singing and enjoyed singing along with her husband on guitar; they
even got to play together on the stage at Stacey’s Jamboree
in Bangor, Maine. Music was always a great passion of
hers.
Along with her parents, Sharon was predeceased by her
brothers, Charles “Bud”, Joel; sister, Mary.
The family wishes to thank all the staff and nurses for their
excellent care and compassion provided to Sharon over the years.
Honouring Sharon’s wishes, there will be no funeral service
and a private family interment will take place at a later
date. Donations in Sharon’s memory may be made to
