Obituary for
Norma Cameron (Miller)
Cameron, Norma Lyle – Age 96, formerly of Urbania passed away peacefully in Debert Court on November 5th, 2023, with her family around her. She was born on April 9, 1927, in Lower Selma, NS to the late Phillip and Ruth (Anthony) Miller.
Norma will be profoundly missed by her children, Marian Carter (Bob Gartshore), Calgary, AB, Marvin (Cathy) Cameron, Charlottetown, PEI and Evelyn (John) Connors, Cole Harbour, NS.
Norma was also a beloved grandmother and great grandmother to Andrea (Mike) Simon and children: Carys, Bennett, Campbell, MacLean Edmonton, AB; Angela (Blair) Pettipas and children: Jonathan and Matthew Cole Harbour, NS; Alan (Rachel) Carter and children: Levi, Jace, Calgary AB; David (Kristin) Connors and children: Caitlyn and Madison, Garson, ON; Meredith (Ryan) MacIsaac and children: Cameron and Maya, Winsloe, PEI; and Kyle (Ashlea Guzzo) Cameron and children: Kieran and Alyse Edmonton, AB.

Besides her parents, Norma was predeceased by brother, Donald Miller and sister, Rose Lloyd.
Norma had many interests throughout her life, whether it was knitting, sewing, painting, quilting or cooking/baking (mmm… warm biscuits with molasses). Norma had a heart of gold and gifted all her time and creations to all her family and friends over the years, from Hallowe’en costumes, wedding outfits, baked goods, Frenchy excursions, musical interludes and dancing at family gatherings.
Norma’s kindness wasn’t just extended to her family and friends, but to her entire community. She was an active member of Eastern Star (Maitland) and the First United Church where she often volunteered (selflessly helping to bake 1000 apple pies).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Church-Truro or a charity of your choice.
A visitation will be held on November 9th from 1pm until time of service at 2pm, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro, NS. Reception to follow. Interment at a later date. Online condolences at www.Colchester Community.com.
