Obituary for
Margaret “Peggy” Beaton
Beaton, Margaret “Peggy” Bridget. It is with great sadness that we, the family of Margaret “Peggy” Beaton, announce the peaceful passing of an amazing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend on December 22, 2024, in the Mira nursing home in Truro.
She was born in New Waterford on September 17, 1933, to the late Ranald and Theresa (MacPherson) MacDonald.
Mom was one of the kindest, most gentle and sincere souls, who found good in everything and had such great faith in people. Her calm approach brought ease to any situation, and she will be greatly missed. She was the youngest and last remaining sibling of the MacDonald family.
She was predeceased by husband, John Beaton; son, Johnny Beaton; brothers, Archie, Buddy, Earnie, Junior, Charles “Sharkey” and sisters, Catherine “Taddy”, Theresa “Tessie,” Doreen, Gertie, Vonnie and Mary.
Mom is survived by sons, Glen (Evelyn) Beaton, Keith (Belinda) Beaton, Gary (Jeanne) Beaton and daughter, Ann Marie (Paul) White. She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff of the Mira for their amazing care and love shown to mom over the years.
A celebration of life will be held for Peggy, and predeceased eldest son, Johnny Beaton, at a later date.
