Linda Joyce MacKenzie
– 73, of Greenfield passed away on Tuesday, November 21,
2023 at Colchester East Health Centre. Born in Truro, she was a
daughter of the late James and Stella (Hoare) Brown.
Linda was a banker
with CIBC for 15 years. She was a bookkeeper with Archibald
Electronics and then worked on her own. She ran Ripley’s
General Store from 1994-1996. Linda was a member of Greenfield United
Church for many years. She loved to read anything that caught her
interest and loved ATVing.
Linda is survived by
her husband, Donald “Sandy” MacKenzie; daughter, Angela
MacKenzie, Truro; son, Jason (Stacey) MacKenzie, Greenfield;
grandchildren, Shonalee Johnson and Connor MacKenzie; siblings, Audrey
White (Melvin, deceased), Bible Hill, Betty Connell, Montana, Garry
(Sue, deceased) Brown, Owen Sound, Ontario, Ross (Althea) Brown,
Valley; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother,
Chesley Brown; brother-in-law, Melvin White; sisters-in-law, Sue Brown
and Arlene MacKenzie.
Arrangements have been
entrusted to Mattatall- Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro,
where Linda’s family will receive friends from 3-5 pm on
Friday, November 24, 2023. A private family interment will be held at
a later date. If so desired, donations to Hope for Wildlife or and
charity of choice are welcomed. Public messages of condolence may be
