Harlan Herbert Hatfield – 84, Truro.
It is with great sadness to inform you of the death of Harlan Hatfield on Thursday, March 7, 2024. Born in Parrsboro, NS on November 8, 1939, but lived most of his life in Truro.
He was the son of the late Cyril and Louzina (Babineau) Hatfield.
Harlan was employed at Brookfield Foods and later Scotsburn Dairy until his retirement on December 30, 1998.
Harlan’s favorite things were fishing trips, camping and hunting.
Survived by his wife, Joan (Betts); daughter, Shelley (Dan) Kaye; grandsons, Johnathan Kaye and Dylan Kaye; sister, Susan (Mitchell) York and brothers, Kenny (Elsie) and Carman; son-in-law, Keith Arnold.
Besides his parents, Harlan is predeceased by his daughter, Wendy (2015) and brother, Fred.
Donations in Harlan’s memory may be made to Diabetes Canada, Nova Scotia Branch or the CNIB Foundation, Nova Scotia Branch.
A graveside service will be held on May 29, 2024 at 1 p.m. in the Greenfield Cemetery.
