It is with sadness
that we, the family of Ellis Dinham, announce his passing on Saturday,
January 20, 2024 at Colchester East Hants Health Centre in Truro. Born
in the outport community of Stone’s Cove, Newfoundland, he was a son
of the late Ida and Frederick Dinham.
Ellis is survived by
his six children, step-daughter, Alma Kelly, Halifax, Terry Dinham,
North Sydney, Cape Breton, Christine Dinham-Jones, Vancouver, British
Columbia, Glen Dinham, Dartmouth, Joanne Bowers, Dartmouth, Craig
Dinham, North Sydney, Cape Breton and several grandchildren. He was
predeceased by his five brothers, Warren, George, Gower, Sidney and
Roy.
The family wishes to
extend a special ‘thank you’ to the doctors and nurses at Colchester
East Hants Health Center and the VON nurses and VON home support staff
for their care over the past several months.
The family would also
like to extend a ‘thank you’ to the members of the
Royal Canadian Air Force Club in Truro for being an extended family to
their father over the last few decades.
A Celebration of Life
will be held at the Royal Canadian Air Force Club, 22 Cottage Street,
Truro, from 2-4 pm on Saturday, January 27,
2024. Donations to a charity of choice in memory
of Ellis are welcomed.
Arrangements have been
