Creighton Kenneth Miller – 69, Bible Hill, passed
away peacefully on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Halifax Infirmary,
QEII, Halifax.
In earlier years, Creighton was a trucker and thoroughly
enjoyed driving the big rigs. He then became owner and operator of Jem
Delivery from where he retired. He was a long-time volunteer and board
member at Colchester Food Bank right up until the time of his
death.
He was “Papa” to everyone – family,
friends and strangers. He loved watching NASCAR, especially Dale
Earnhardt, Jr., and western movies. He loved playing Santa and did
this for many years for his own family and at community
events.
Creighton is survived by his loving wife of 40 years,
Jacqueline (Shipley); daughters, Sandra (Douglas) Finck, Truro;
Natasha (John) Woodworth, Gagetown, New Brunswick; Tara (Dwight)
Havenga, Truro; grandchildren, Alexandria MacBurnie (David Mont),
Truro; Wade Rushton (Meagan Kuhn), Elmsdale; Chelsie (Tanner) Geldart,
Truro; Orrin (Juleitt) Spence, Truro; Darian (Chantal) Woodworth,
Lincoln, New Brunswick; Stephanie Fillmore (Brandon Taylor), Truro;
Jayden Woodworth, Fredericton, New Brunswick; two great
grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his daughters, Angela Miller, Amanda
Miller; granddaughter, Charlie Ann MacBurnie; brother, Orrin Miller;
mother-in-law, Marion Martin, who was like a mother to
him.
Honouring Creighton’s wishes, there will be no
visitation or funeral service. If so desired, donations in
Creighton’s memory to IWK Health Centre Foundation (Burn
Unit) are welcomed.
