C. Bernadette
Brooks – 95, Truro,
passed away peacefully on Monday, November 27, 2023, at The Mira
Long-Term Care Centre, Truro. Born in New Glasgow, she was the
daughter of the late Henry and Bernadette (MacKenzie)
Brooks.
Bernadette was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman
Catholic Church. She was a school teacher in Pictou County schools for
ten years and then was Associate Professor at Nova Scotia
Teacher’s College where she taught English for 31 years.
Many will remember Bernadette for her lovely personality and wealth of
knowledge that she shared freely.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12:15 p.m.,
Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic
Church, 669 Prince Street, Truro, Father Jim O’Connor and
Father Andrew Rembarczyk officiating. Interment in Our Lady of Lourdes
Cemetery, Stellarton. If so desired, donations in
Bernadette’s memory to a charity of choice are
welcomed.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Public messages of
