Peter George Pineau
Sydney Forks
Pete Pineau died peacefully at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, with his family by his side.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys (Skaine); son, Ray (Stacey); and grandchildren, Nick and Ella.
Born June 16, 1939, to Bernie and Vera (MacAulay) Pineau, Pete was raised in Westmount together with his brothers, John and Allan.
After returning from Toronto, where he spent his 20s, Peter and Gladys built a home on Blacketts Lake Road in Sydney Forks.
Pete thoroughly enjoyed life and good times with family and friends. A diehard fan of the Montreal Canadiens, he was an avid golfer who played every sport going at one time or another. He loved music and played a number of instruments, including guitar.
In keeping with Pete’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
Pete’s family wishes to thank the staff of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital for the care provided to him in recent months.
