It is with great sadness that the family of Dalton Riley Bonnar announce his sudden passing on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at the age of 22. He was born on December 16, 2001, in Sydney.
Dalton will be dearly missed by his parents, Carrie Ann Bonnar and Mark MacKinnon (Lisa, Willow); siblings, Mariah Bonnar (Wyatt), Sophia Holland (Brandon), and Xavier Bonnar; special nieces, Emree and Annie; grandparents, Jim and Maggie Bonnar, and Murdock MacKinnon; as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Dalton was predeceased by his grandmother, Donna Tobin and grandfather, Melvin Dixon.
Dalton will be lovingly remembered for his kindness, big heart, sense of humor, his love of music, learning new things, and the undying love he had for his family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Donations in memory of Dalton may be made to the Cape Breton Regional Chapter of Autism Nova Scotia or the SPCA Cape Breton Shelter.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
