Berrigan, Lionel Sherman- 90, Necum Teuch, passed away Tuesday January 30, 2024 in Harbourview Lodge, Sheet Harbour. Born May 23, 1933 in Necum Teuch he was a son of the late Karl & Grace (MacDonald) Berrigan. Lionel was very proud of his Irish and Scottish heritage, and loved listening to Cape Breton fiddle music. He enjoyed farming on his land in Necum Teuch, where in later years he had cattle and sheep. Lionel enjoyed spending time with his grandsons, especially watching wrestling. Lionel and Helen loved going to their camp with family, having many good meals cooked on the wood stove. Survived by daughters; Sheila (Francis Josey), Joyce (Roddy MacDonald), grandchildren; Kirsten (Sean), Joshua (Kelsey), Laura (Devin), Nicholas, Ryan (Kayla), step great granddaughter Aroura, sisters; Doreen (Patrick Martin), Sylvia “Susie”, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Helen, great grandson James in infancy and sister, Laura. Cremation has taken place. A graveside committal will be held at a later date.
