Wentzell, Evelyn Janet- 68, Moser River, passed away peacefully Monday April 8, 2024 in Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital, Sheet Harbour. Born in Brantford, Ontario May 27, 1955 she was a daughter of the late Charles & Marjorie (Spiece) Sykes. She started her working career as a floor girl at GWG in Brantford, she then went on to be a seamstress, running her own business for a number of years. When Evelyn was diagnosed with cancer she wanted to give back, so she became a Personal Support Worker to help care for others. Evelyn loved sewing, music, painting, and was very social attending many local events. Survived by husband Robert, sons; Robert (Lynn), Woodstock Ont., Daniel (Krista), Otterville, Ont., granddaughter Emily, grandson Ethan, step-granddaughter Breanna,step-grandsons Nick & Matt, brother; Douglas (Bev) Sykes, Brandford, Ont., sister; Joyce (Edward) Pike, Waterford, Ont., many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday April 11 from 7-9pm with prayers at 7:30 in DS Crowell & Son Funeral Home 22558 Highway 7, Sheet Harbour. Donations in Evelyns memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Online condolences may be directed to www.crowellsfuneralhome.ca
