Henry, Barry Thomas John- 76, Sheet Harbour, passed away peacefully Sunday January 21, 2024 in Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital. Born August 22, 1947 in Halifax he was a son of the late Arthur & Dorothy (Boyle) Henry. Barry was number 12 out of a family of 15. Barry had many jobs throughout his life some of which included Seaboard GM Disel, Dew Drop Gardens and Foodland, Sheet Harbour. Barry was a scout leader for several years, as well as a baseball coach, volunteer fire fighter and a member of EMO. His greatest passion was his extensive hockey card collection and of course his beloved Boston Bruins. Barry also loved to travel, visiting family in Edmonton, Ottawa, and London Ontario. He loved our many trips to Cuba and most recently Newfoundland. Survived by his loving wife of 44 years Sue (Lowe), sons; Bryan (Kim) and Darcy, grandchildren; Blake, Rileigh and Harley, sister Linda (Louis) Marchand, brother Donnie (Lynn). He was predeceased by sisters; Dorothy, Marie, Lorraine, Jean, Shirley, Barb, Patsy, brothers; Artie, John, Louis, Ronnie and Billy. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held Wednesday January 24, 2024 at 11a.m. in St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, Sheet Harbour Father Vincent officiating, burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family is requesting that everyone who is able to wear a jersey, especially a Bruins one to the service. The family would also like to thank the staff at ESMH, especially Courtney, Alicia, Lori, Racheal and Dr. Antony for their exceptional care shown to Barry.
