Ruth Ridgley (nee Collier)
passed away peacefully at De Paul Hall-Caritas Residence, on April 2, 2024 at age 95. Ruth was born in Diamond Cove, Newfoundland and Labrador (NL), and grew up in Rose Blanche, NL. Ruth was predeceased by her husband Hubert; parents Martin and Elizabeth Collier; and 12 siblings. She was the last surviving member of her family. Left with fond memories are her sons,,Reginald(Mary); Gordon(Sue); daughter Donna Cunningham (Ron); 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Ruth was a member of Saint Margaret’s Anglican Church (Tantallon) and the Whitecap Senior Group. She loved to bowl, dance, knit socks and write poetry. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at De Paul Hall (3rd floor) and former caregiver Patricia Demoine. Donations in memory can be made to St.Margaret’s Anglican Church; Seabright Legion; Whitecap Senior Group, or a charity of your choice. A celebration of life will be held at the Seabright Legion on May 18 from 1 to 3 pm at the Seabright Legion, 11169 Peggys Cove Road.
