Memorial Donation
I was born Lucille Marion on August 16, 1955 to John L. Landry (deceased 1993) and
Rita May (née Richard), who passed in 2007. My husband Paul and I were married on
December 28th, 1974; at which we began a 20-year span of military travels. We made 5
moves throughout Canada and spent a five-year tour in Lahr, Germany from 1988-
1993. This last tour afforded us many sightseeing trips to various surrounding countries.
Our children were given hands-on opportunities to visit some of the curriculum being
studied. They explored salt mines, visited old castles along the Rhine River, visited the
Kremlin and studied Shakespeare in England, to name a few. I worked at various jobs
throughout those years from waitressing, call centres, Fundy Cable, Atlantic Lottery,
Gate Guard and Military Police Dispatcher.
Besides my Dad and Mom, I was predeceased by my oldest brother, George (1999),
Lloyd (2003), eldest sister, Therese (2016), and Jeanette (2022).
I’m survived by my husband of 49 years, Paul; younger brother, Blaise (Gretchen), living
in Baddeck. Also my three daughters, Danette Doucette (Mike), Rusagonis, NB; Tannis
Gillis (Wayne), River Bourgeois; and Kyla Mulford (Jim), Riverview, NB; as well as four
grandchildren, Breanna (Justin), Jacob, Keighan and Karson.
We the family, want to heartfully thank everyone who so generously supported us
throughout my illness, those who sent messages, delivered food and assisted us
financially on this journey.
These words were those of our wife, mother and grandmother, as she wrote them. We
also would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Debbie Marchand, Dr. Cooper,
Leslie and Kyla (Palliative care) as well as Kathy and Hillary (Continuing Care) and the
entire pharmacy team at MacDonnell’s Pharmacy as well as the staff at the Cancer
center in Sydney.
There will be no visitation or church service by request. Cremation has taken place, and
a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
