**Funeral Mass for the late Joseph Arthur Sampson will be held on Friday July 19, 2024 at 11am from
St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, St. Peter’s. Interment to follow in the Parish cemetery**
It is with saddened hearts that the family of Joseph Arthur Sampson of St. Peters announce the peaceful passing of their beloved father, Wednesday morning April 3, 2024 at the Richmond Villa surrounded by family and friends. Joseph resided at the Villa since June 2022 and had excellent care throughout his stay.
Joseph was born September 24, 1932 in River Bourgeois, N.S. – the son of the late James Henry Sampson and Mary Henrietta (Landry) Sampson of River Bourgeois. Joseph enlisted in the Airforce at a
young age and travelled the world including France, Belgium, Germany and all across Canada. Joseph met and married his predeceased wife, Henrietta Sampson (Courte) whom he met while stationed in
France. After more than 30 years in the Airforce, Joseph purchased a small house and property in the Richmond County where he renovated the small house, only to build a much larger house into the hill where he lived until his health weakened and was moved to the Richmond Villa. Some people knew him
as the TV repairman as his hobby was fixing TVs for his community.
Joseph will be deeply missed by his three children – John Sampson (L’Ardoise); Roger Sampson (Ottawa) and Betty Sampson (Edmonton) and by his 6 grandchildren.
A big thank you from the family to the staff of the Richmond Villa for taking such good care of Joseph
over the past couple of years. Joseph passed peacefully with loving hearts surrounding him.
A celebration of Joseph’s life with a Church Mass Service will take place at the St. Peters Roman Catholic
Church, St. Peter’s on July 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., following will be the burial.
