It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Calvin Patrick Embree “Kelly”, 83, of Louisdale, Saturday, October 29, 2023, at St. Marthas Regional Hospital, Antigonish; with family members by his side.
Kelly was born June 13, 1940, to the late Freeman and Evangeline (Perry) Embree. Kelly is survived by his son, John Wesley (Gina), Martinique; grandchildren, Dawson; St. Peters and Tanisha, Martinique; brother Gordon, (Frances); Riverview, NB; Mary, (Dave) Gowers, Petawawa, Ont; Kevin, (Sharon); Darlene; Brenda; Brian (Joan); Adelene (Vernon); Freeman (Donna); Alanna, Kitchener, ONT; and Wilson (Denine).
Kelly was predeceased by his partner, Amelia McPhee, brothers, Jimmy, Bert and Peter; sisters; Ruth Dunlop; Kathleen MacInnis; Margaret MacKay; Marie La Framboise; Irene MacIsaac, and Beverly MacQuarrie. Kelly also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great, great nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. In Kelly’s memory, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of one’s choice.
By request, there will be no funeral or visitation.
