**Funeral Service for the Late Allan Fitch will be held at 1pm on Friday July 12, 2024 from Holy Guardian Angels Parish, L’Ardoise with Interment in the Parish Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow at the L’Ardoise Community Centre**
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Allan Fitch, at the age of 69, on 3 Jun 2023. A loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, loyal friend and veteran, he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Al took great pride in his military career. He joined the CAF in 1976 and was stationed in Gagetown, NB. He then served a tour in Germany, returned to Canada, and was posted to Borden, Ont, Northbay, Ont and finally retired from the military in Ottawa, Ont as a Master corporal after 25 years of active duty. His decorations include a Queens Jubilee and many other commendations and citations awarded during his two and a half decades of selfless service to his country. Allan then became a commissioner for a time before moving to Cape Breton, NS to help with family.
Al spent a great deal of his free time volunteering for the Royal Canadian Legion Br 110 and the L’Ardoise Mens Club.
