Shane MacLean of Pictou, passed away unexpectedly May 25, 2024 while out on one of his many walks. Shane was predeceased by his father, William MacLean. He leaves to mourn his mother, Leona MacKinnon and step-father, Allan. As well as his brother, Wade; sisters, Kim (John), Terry (Danny), Jillian, Brandi (Timmy). Also, many nieces, nephews and other beloved family members. Shane had a long career as a steamfitter, where he worked at the Pictou Shipyard, among other job sites. Shane enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. A long walk, bike or car drive, a hot coffee, good music, a chat with a familiar face and dropping in for a visit with family and friends. Family would like to give a special thank you to Shane’s nurse Angela Peckham and continuing care worker Rachael MacKenzie. We would also like to thank first responders Brian MacKinnon, Mike Boudreau, Leah Strickland and Julie Champagne. Also, Const. Butler and Const. Almas of the RCMP. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 2PM at First Presbyterian Church, Pictou with Rev. Susan Smith officiating. We will always carry the memory of Shane in our hearts. Donations in his memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation.
