Waugh, Sybil Rebecca (Dunbar) – Amherst, formerly of Port Howe
Her death occurred on February 28, 2024, at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst. Born in Port Howe to the late John Fraser Dunbar and Sarah Agnes MacDonald. She came into this world on January 28, 1928. She was the last of the five Dunbar girls who all worked at Amherst Highland View Hospital. She worked as Head Nurse in Maternity for many years until her retirement. She was predeceased by her parents; her sisters, Margaret Corning, Christena Pierce, Mary Tully and Jean Smith; two nieces, Mary Gogan Baird and Sandra Sarson; ex-husband, John A. Waugh. She is survived by two nephews, John Corning and David Tully. There will be no funeral service. A private graveside service will be at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to the Lillian Albion Animal Shelter.
She lived life to the fullest,
loved her family, her dogs,
and her friends and wishes
