Maddigan, Louise Gloria – 69, Springhill. It is with great sadness the family of the late Louise Maddigan announce her passing at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, Moncton on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. Born in Corner Brook, NL, she was the daughter of the late John and Ada (March) Hunt. Louise was very active in serving her community of Springhill. She was an involved member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, having served as a planner and organizer for many activities in the church community. Louise also served on the CWL for many years helping provide lunches, suppers, and much more. She served with the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul Food Bank, which provided countless help to those in need. Louise is survived with countless loving memories by husband and love of her life, Barry; daughters, Alison Maddigan-Cox (John Cox); Heather Maddigan (Adam Mason); Holly Maddigan; grandson, Andrew Cox; mother-in-law, Christine Maddigan; also mourning are family members, Gary (Christine) Maddigan; Donna (Terry) Skiffington; Rodney (Sandra) Maddigan; Bonnie Squires; special niece and nephews as well as her goddaughter, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by father-in-law, John Maddigan. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. O. Fashoranti, Dr. C. Sauveur, Dr. Kathy Ferguson, Jacqueline RN, and the care teams at the Dr. George-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre and All Saints Springhill Hospital for the loving support and care provided over the years. Arrangements are in the care of MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home & Crematorium. A private family funeral service will be held. Donations may be made to Springhill Food Bank or Lillian Allbon Animal Shelter.
