Obituary
Christopher Adrienne Webb – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Chris Webb, age 62, of Westchester Station. Chris passed peacefully on December 28, 2024, at All Saints Hospital in Springhill after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Chris was a beloved husband, father, grampy, son, brother, and friend. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jackie, who was his sidekick of 43 years. Together, they shared countless adventures and cherished moments. He leaves behind three wonderful children, Dawn (Devin); Craig (Morgan); and Courtney (Brandon); his treasured grandchildren, Ashton, Summer, Lyvia, Weston, Evie, and Emmett; as well as his brothers, Randy (Georgina); Jeff; and Darren. He is predeceased by his parents Leon and Lavern (Cumming) Webb; infant brother, Dwayne.
Chris had a zest for life that was evident in everything he did. He often reminisced about his days playing baseball for the Westchester Wolvies and the Truro Bearcats. Music was another passion of his; he enjoyed playing his guitar, always warming up with one of his favourites “Bad Moon Rising” by CCR. Chris had a keen interest in genealogy, often exploring his family’s history. He loved spending time outdoors, whether it was camping with family or tinkering around the yard. A lifelong learner, Chris enjoyed discovering new technology and playing with the latest gadgets. Most significantly, he cherished the time spent with his family. Grampy was always ready with open arms to take a fussy baby for a special grampy walk, or a drive on the John Deere around the lawn.
The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to VON, Palliative Care team, and the nurses at the All Saints Springhill Hospital, who provided compassionate care during his cancer battle and final days. Their dedication made this difficult journey more bearable for both him and those who loved him dearly. Arrangements are in the care of MacDiarmid’s Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Oxford. A celebration of Chris’s life will be held on January 2nd from 2-4 PM at the Westchester Fire Hall, 123 Valley Rd, Westchester Station. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the IWK Children’s Hospital in his memory.
Though he may no longer walk among us physically; Chris leaves behind an enduring
legacy – a testament that true love knows no bounds – and that family is everything.
