Stanley Gordon Mailman, age 82 of Denver, NS passed away on Feb. 6, 2024 in St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke. Born at St. Mary’s River, NS he was a son of the late Alfred Gordon and Annie P. (Burns) Mailman.
Stan was a longtime resident of Denver. He was an avid outdoorsman. He worked as a carpenter and a woodsman most of his life.
He is survived by his son Clarence (Wanda), Denver, NS; brother Blaine (Elaine), Sherbrooke; brothers-in-law Robert Robinson, Sonora; Stan (Debbie) Hemlow, Halifax; Ralph (Beverly) Hemlow, Pinevale and sister -in-law Carolyn (Bruce) Bingley, Port Bickerton; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Marilyn, daughter Elaine, sisters Faye and Sandra.
There will be a family visitation on Thursday, February 8 from 7-8 pm in the Kirk memorial united Church, Aspen. Public funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, February 9 in Kirk Memorial United Church, Aspen with Rev. Derek Elsworth officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Aspen at a later date.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Evergreen Cemetery, Aspen.
