Obituary of Seymour Ross Sheehan
Seymour Ross Sheehan, 76, New Glasgow, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, December 17, 2024 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by the love of his family.
He was the son of the late Daniel William Sheehan and Mabel Vivian (Tree) Sheehan. Seymour loved old cars and “was always taking one apart”. He was employed as a mechanic with the former Shell garage in Blue Acres for many years. Seymour drove his number 37 stock car at Riverside International Speedway, James River from 1980 – 1989.
Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving, are his partner of 46 years, Helen Inez Bates; sisters, Doris, Anna, Mary Anne, Karen, Lorna and Linda; brothers, Danny, Robert, Paul, Anthony, stepdaughters, Yvonne, Barbara and Jennifer; many step grandchildren; a step great-grandchild.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased are his brothers, Henry and Michael.
In honour of Seymour’s wishes, his family will celebrate his life privately.
