Obituary of Aaron James Pelley
Aaron James Pelley, 28, New Glasgow, passed away peacefully, Saturday, November 2, 2024, in his sleep, due to sleep apnea complications.
Born in New Glasgow he was a son of Brenda Jean Scully and Cameron James Pelley, Coalburn. Aaron possessed a great sense of humour and had an uncanny way of making people laugh. In younger years, he enjoyed riding dirt bikes in the summer, sledding in the winter and playing pool. Since his childhood, Aaron always had pet dogs, each equally treasured and loved. He could “drive anything with wheels” and was proud to have obtained his class 3 driver’s license. Aaron inherited strong mental math skills from both his parents and had incredible penmanship. Aaron loved spending time with his family and enjoyed being the “grill master” for steaks and porkchops. He was a loyal, fun loving, intelligent young man, who will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his partner, Mary Skoke; brother, Jason Thomas Pelley, Coalburn; uncles, Ian Scully (Jane Bruce), Gull Lake, Alta.; Rob (Wendy) Scully, Beamsville, Ont.; Lonas Pelley (Nola Gaudet), Lincoln, N.B.; Kevin Pelley (Tina Vaux), Roachvale; Malcolm (Dianna) Pelley, Lower Sackville; aunts, Roseanne (Jim) Hanifen, Erinville; Wanita Pelley (Bob Hettrick), Cambridge Narrows, N.B.; many great-aunts, great-uncles and numerous cousins.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Joe and Dorothy (MacLeod) Scully; paternal grandparents, Bill and Marie (Worth) Pelley; paternal aunt, Sylvia Pelley in infancy.
In keeping with Aaron’s wishes, his family will celebrate his life privately.
