Dixon, Jean Almeda ~ age 98 of East Kingston, NS passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024, in Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Annie (Rutherford) Dixon. Jean worked for Canada Post for 5 years and then was employed with the CIBC in Kingston for 25 years. She was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Auburn having served as Treasurer, a member of Anglican Church Women and the church was truly Jean’s life. She is survived by nephews, Darrell Freeman, Ontario; David Freeman, Greenwood; niece, Cheryl West, Ontario; great niece, Naomi Bacon; great nephew, Jacob Fitch, special cousin, Pamela (Neil) McGinnis-Morton, Tremont, who was always there for Jean; special friends, John, Deidre, Mandy and Erica for all their kindness shown to Jean over the years and Murray Rolph, who was Jean’s handy man who went above and beyond for her. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Maxine Dixon-Freeman, Muriel Fitch; brother, Allan Dixon and nephew, Allan Fitch. Visitation will be held 2-4PM and 6-8PM Thursday, December 19, 2024, in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, 1-855-825-3448. Funeral service will be held 1:00PM Friday, December 20, 2024, in St. Mary’s Anglican Church, 20 Morden Road, Auburn with Rev. Dorothy Miller officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Anglican Cemetery. Donations in Jeans’ memory may be made to St. Mary’s Anglican Cemetery Fund or to a charity of your choice.
