Eleonor d’Eon
Eleanor Mae d’Eon, 91. It is with heavy hearts that
we announce the passing of our loving mom and Nanny, on December 19,
2024, in Yarmouth, N.S., surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her children, Rory (Janice) Ancaster, ON;
Anthony (Christine), Middle West Pubnico, NS; Clyde (Dr. Jacqueline),
Argyle, NS; and Gretchen (Mike), Upper Tantallon, NS. Her
grandchildren, Sarah Klassen, Suzanne Zappia, Félix
d’Eon, Jamie Amirault, Brandy d’Eon and Shelby
d’Eon, along with her great-grandchildren Mason, Emily,
Domenico, Lucy, Emmett, Renée, and Summer will miss
visiting their Nanny. She always had a smile and a hug
ready.
Eleanor was predeceased by her loving husband Maxime
d’Eon, and her parents Kenneth and Leola (Hatfield)
Morton.
Years ago, our Mom was known for her skill at making barbie
doll clothes for the children in the community. She also took pride in
her beautiful quilts and tending to her lovely flower garden,
especially her Peonies. We always knew there would be homemade bread
and treats when we visited.
The family wishes to give a special thank you to all the
caring staff at Vancouver Place and The Meadows, Yarmouth. Their
compassionate care of our mother was so appreciated. Dr. Horton helped
us give our mother a peaceful, dignified passing. Many
thanks.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, January 17, 2025
at 10am in the West Pubnico Funeral Home, 1125 Hwy 335, Middle West
Pubnico, with Deacon Bruce Hubbard officiating. Interment
will be in St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Middle West
Pubnico. On line condolences may be forwarded to the family

Salvation Army. Online condolences can be made at
