Richard’s Obituary
Richard Arthur Blinn
1950 – 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Richard Arthur Blinn of Saulnierville on Friday, August 9th at the age of 74 with his loving wife by his side. He was a son of the late Amos and May (Gaudet) Blinn.
Richard is survived by the love of his life, Bernadette (née Comeau); his loving children, Jean (Marcy) and Carmen (Kevin), and his precious grandchildren, Nicolett and Landon (Krysteena). He also had an extended family through Jean; Sarah (Luc) with son Isaac; Ryan (Dawn) with sons Russell and Rylee. Richard had many nieces and nephews which he adored as well as many brother-in-law and sisters-in-law who he loved dearly.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Helen Blinn, Marie Stuart, Rose Marie Houghton, Dorothy Blinn; brothers, Nelson Blinn, Donald Blinn, Ivan Blinn, infant brother Melvin.
Richard worked at A.F. Theriault and Sons and spent time lobster fishing. In his later years, he worked at the mink ranch for his brother, Ivan for over three decades.
Richard loved spending quality time with his family and friends. He enjoyed driving his 1968 Ford Torino daily to Tim Horton’s where he met his friends and shared many funny stories. He knew many people who loved him and enjoyed his company and his wonderful and silly sense of humor.
As per Richard’s request, no visitation will be held. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice.
