Karen’s Obituary
The passing of Karen Marie Belliveau of Little Brook NS, occurred at Yarmouth Regional Hospital on December 19, 2024 after a brief battle with Cancer.
Born on June 22, 1963 in Digby, NS, she was the beloved daughter of the late Desiré Belliveau and Odette (Amirault) Belliveau of Weymouth.
Karen is survived by her daughter, Veronique Pichette of Dieppe; son, Zacharie Thibault of Church Point; sister, Sandra (Paul) Mullen; brother, Mark (Kelly) Belliveau, all of Weymouth; her nieces and nephews, Bailey, Joshua, Mia, Kyle, Allie and her special niece, Taylor; close friends, Dianne, Janice and Russ; lifelong friend, Eric; several aunts, uncles and cousins. She will be lovingly missed by both the Belliveau and Thibault families.
Karen studied at Université Sainte Anne and Mount Saint Vincent University. She was self-employed for most of her working life, from running a fashion store, working in the food industry, and flipping homes using her interior design skills. Demolition day was her favorite.
Her recent venture into tourism, Driftwood by the Bay, allowed her to enjoy watching sunrises and sunsets. Karen loved the outdoors, especially the ocean. From kayaking, camping and adventurist travelling, she did it all.
Everyone knew Karen’s passion for horses as she shared her knowledge and expertise with many. She trained many horses, loved giving riding lessons and was always willing to help or advise when needed. She will forever be remembered in the horse community.
The family wishes to thank Drs. Cooper & Mahil and the staff of 4 North from the Yarmouth Regional Hospital for their kindness and care of Karen during her last days.
A celebration of her life will be planned in the spring and for those who wish, remembrances may be made to Jackie Comeau & Friends Cancer Help Fund Association or your charity of choice.
