It is with great sadness that the family of Wallace George Hoskins, 64, of Bayport, announce his passing on Monday, April 1, 2024 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.
Born in Stephenville, NL, he was a son of the late Charles and Mathilda (Young) Hoskins.
Wallace’s working life was spent on the sea fishing and in later years he went west and was a cook in the oil field camps in Alberta, returning to reside in Bayport.
Wallace is survived by his sisters, Mavis Smith, Belleville, ON, Delores Hoskins, Mahone Bay; brothers, Calvin (Carol), Brampton, ON, Daniel (Sheila) Dayspring, Charlie, Brampton, ON, Jimmy (Karen), Lunenburg, Johnny, Bridgewater; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Wallace was predeceased by his brother, Ron.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy #3, Lunenburg. In keeping with Wallace’s wishes there is to be no public memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
