It is with great sadness that the family of Muriel Lorrena Dauphinee, 75 of West Northfield, announces her passing on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.
Born in Blockhouse, Muriel was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Lillian (Church) Wile.
In her earlier years, Muriel worked at National Sea Products and Riverport Seafoods and then went on to work in the kitchen of Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital for many years until her retirement.
She was a member of the local TOPS Group and was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Middle Cornwall.
Muriel enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and times spent at home with her husband Geoffrey and extended family were the cherished moments. Her love of life, family, friends and the community at large, were so important to her. Muriel’s quiet courage and strength of spirit will be carried forward by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Geoffrey, several nieces and nephews, cousins, two aunts and an uncle.
Muriel was predeceased by her parents, a brother, Leroy Wile and a sister, Julia Zinck.
Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg. At Muriel’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no memorial service.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Cornwall.
