It is with great sadness that the family of Michael Lynn Falkenham, 79, of Northwest, announce his passing on Monday, April 29, 2024 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, due to heart failure.
Born in Lunenburg, Michael was a son of the late Armond and Aileene (Langille) Falkenham.
Michael’s working career included working for Quality Poultry in Lilydale, the fish plant in Lunenburg, a tobacco farm in Ontario, and as a driver for Ben’s Bread, based in Bridgewater. As an entrepreneur, his woodland kept him busy with all manners of forestry related work. He was a partner of Tanenbaum Enterprises, but his life’s passion was always Christmas trees. He and his wife Dianne were involved in the Lunenburg County Christmas Tree producers Association for many years.
Michael is survived by his daughter, Nikki (Mike)Knock, Northwest; sons David, Wileville, Daniel, Mahone Bay; grandchildren, Alannah Falkenham and Shane Knock; sisters, Patsy Bruhm, Bridgewater, Gailyn (Dennis) Forbes, Owen Sound, Ontario, Dale (Max) Bruhm, Lower Branch; brothers,Christopher “Chipper” (Irene) Falkenham, Northwest, Brian (Sandra), Kingsburg, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother Bruce Falkenham.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Dana L Sweeney Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy #3, Lunenburg and from where a memorial service for Michael will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 11 AM. Patti Brace officiating. Private Interment to follow in Northwest Baptist Cemetery, Northwest. Reception to follow at Michael Falkenham’s house located at 880 Northwest Rd. All are welcome.
