John Keith Wells, age 76 of Garden Lots, Nova Scotia passed on December 28, 2023 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.
Although born in Sydney, N. S., Dartmouth was Keith’s home until 1992, when he packed his bags and moved to his “cabin in the woods.” A few more moves and he returned to the comfort and familiarity of the South Shore of Nova Scotia.
Keith was predeceased by his parents, sisters, Peggy Dal Pan, New Jersey and Louise Nixon (Saint Louise), Middleton, Nova Scotia. Keith is survived by Catherine, his wife and soul mate of 40 years, daughter, Christine Slaby (Chris), Orlando, Florida, son, Marcus, Lawrencetown, HRM., Nova Scotia, grandchildren, Brooke, Jordan, Amanda and Jacob. Very special friend and nephew, Bob Risk, Nevada, along with Rob, Jamie, Katie and Christie (Joey) who held a special spot in their uncle Keith’s heart.
Keith was a long time “Postie” working out of Dartmouth Main, Dartmouth East and latterly he was stationed in D.D.C. in Burnside, serving Canada Post as a Letter Carrier for 34 years, retiring in 2001. At this point Keith’s fun began. His perfect day was spent in his boat fishing, followed by a B.B.Q., Blue Jays baseball game, and a fire pit late night with his dog by his side. Upon Catherine’s retirement, Keith ventured to Florida…. All part of his retirement dream.
A shy man, a private man; Keith has requested no service on his behalf.

“How” lucky were we to share something so special that makes saying goodbye so hard…” Catherine
