Jaime William Tufts
August 29, 1961 – July 14, 2024

Age 62, of Waverley Nova Scotia, lost his valiant battle with bile duct cancer on the morning of July 14th, 2024 surrounded by his three beloved daughters at the QEII Infirmary. He is survived by daughters Michelle (Cory) Balcom, Stephanie (Chris) Walsh and Melanie (Joey) Sisco-Tufts; grandchildren Breah and Chase Balcom, Brady, Milo and Remy Walsh, Sebastian and Ursula Sisco-Tufts and his sisters Beverley Ann Tufts and Meryl (Mike) Walker, as well as niece Shannon (Paul Ens) Quillan, nephew Brandon (Savannah Downey) Walker and niece Alivia Walker. He was predeceased by his brother Randolph (Randy) Joel Tufts, his father William Henry Tufts and his mother Marilyn Odelle (Smith) Tufts. Jaime was born in Puerto Rico where he spent the first eleven years of his life, and was proud of his dual Canadian-American citizenship and upbringing. Jaime had a love for cooking, travel, and genealogy; which he enjoyed chronicling through his YouTube channel (It’s Good! With Jaime Paycheque). His love of cooking was also extended to cooking television where he would enjoy watching Gordon Ramsay shows. Jaime enjoyed traveling and would often visit Florida, where he loved to spend time with his family visiting Disney World and Universal Studios, as well as buying all kinds of food you just can’t get back home in Waverley. Jaime loved technology, often being among the first to adopt newer technology simply because he was so intrigued by it. Jaime was also very proud of his vast career achievements, which included rising from an entry level position with RBC to a Vice President of Implementations with ADP Canada, leading large teams to unparalleled success all over the world; as well as designing and developing numerous innovations to improve the business on a global scale. Jaime’s greatest love and enjoyment however, was spending time with his daughters and grandchildren; who he loved so very much, and who loved him very much the same. Jaime was a member of RCL Dieppe No. 90. As per Jaime’s wishes, in lieu of a funeral service there will be a Celebration of Life to be held at the RCL Dieppe 90 at 2:00pm on Friday, July 19th 2024. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
