Jeanne Lois Hubley, Ba, BED.
With heavy hearts we announce the Passing of our Beautiful Jeanne Lois (Geizer) Hubley. Born in Halifax May 10, 1936, she was the daughter of the Late Arthur C and Mary Jane Geizer.
Jeanne was a graduate of Dalhousie University and did her Post Graduate Studies from Saint Mary’s University and the University of Nice, France. She was a teacher at East Saint Margaret’s Elementary, Sir John A Mac Donald High School and Tantallon Junior High.
She was also a member of the William Black United Church, Glen Margaret, where she played the Organ for many years and enjoyed taking part in all Church Functions. She was an Avid Golfer and won the Ladies “D” Lake Fairways flight Championship. Jeanne liked, Dancing, wildlife and nature in general. She enjoyed Traveling all over the World, Cruising and touring Nature Reserves. She spent 18 Years as a Resident of Lake Fairways, North Fort Myers, Florida where she enjoyed dancing with her partner of 66 years (Old Twinkle Toes). Jeanne just enjoyed every minute of every day with family and friends. Jeanne was also a Dog Breeder and a member of the CKC, enjoyed showing her Irish Setters with her daughter and handler, Libby.
Survived by her husband, Robert; son, Bruce (Kelly); daughter, Libby Fralick both of Hubley; grandchildren, Stephanie and Alex; great grandchild, Jagger.
There will be a family graveside service at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
