Obituary of Pat Lovett
LOVETT, George Patrick “Pat”- 76 of Ellershouse, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2023, at the QEII Halifax Infirmary Site. Pat was an avid collector of all things including sports cards, coins, stamps, and comics. He took great pride in his garden and loved his hunting and fishing trips. He always made sure no one went without. There was always enough food for 2 families, and Christmas was like a scene from a movie. Survived by his daughters Alicia and Stephanie; former wife Claire; granddaughter, Grace Morrison; sister, Dolly Hemeon(Ken); brother, Carl Lovett (Floreen); lifelong friend Pete McKinnon, and his beloved grand fur babies Barley and Nia. He was predeceased by his parents George Patrick Lovett and Katherine (Kay) Lovett nee Kean, and stepbrother, William Croke. Special thank you to his neighbor Peter Robertson for being such a huge help to Dad over the last few years, particularly in his final days. Also, to his neighbors Mike and Linda Sawler, for all of their help over the years. Arrangement and cremation have been entrusted to J Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. In keeping with Pat’s wishes there will be no visitation. A Celebration of life to follow on Nov 18th at The Fairview Legion from 1-5 pm. Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
