Obituary of Huberte Laurise Elmer
ELMER, Huberte Laurise- Age 84 of Halifax, it is with extreme sadness we announce the passing of our beautiful, wife, mother, sister, and grandmother Huberte Laurise Elmer on October 12, 2024, at Melville Lodge. Born in St. Joseph, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Henri and Aurelli (Richard) Landry.
Huberte moved to Nova Scotia after getting married to Michael. They settled in Portuguese Cove and started a family. Huberte loved to knit, and bowl. She also spent time volunteering for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
She is survived by her loving husband Michael Elmer; son, Colin (Tammy) Elmer; daughter, Christine (Brent) Corney; grandchildren, Chandler, Alicia, and Tristan; many nieces and nephews. Huberte was predeceased by sisters, Jeanette, Lucille, and Simone; brother, Armand.
The family would like to send a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Melville Lodge, who looked after Mom with kindness and compassion while she was there.
Arrangement and cremation have been entrusted to J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, Halifax. In keeping with Huberte’s wishes, there will be no visitation or Funeral Service
