Obituary of Margaret Terena “Terry” Haley, New Waterford
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Margaret Terena “Terry” Haley, 72 of New Waterford announce her passing on April 3, 2024 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Terry was born in New Waterford, Nova Scotia in 1951 to the late John Haley and Jessie (MacDonald) Archibald.
Terry graduated from the Nursing Assistant program at the Cape Breton Regional Vocational School in 1980.
She was a kind hearted soul who put everyone before herself.
Terry was a music enthusiast and enjoyed different music genres and artists including traditional fiddle music.
She was passionate about writing poems and had several selected for achievement including the prestigious Editor’s Choice Award from Poetry.com.
Terry is survived by her children, daughter, Melanie Bradbury, her son Thomas Bradbury (Jamie), her son John Drake, her grandchildren Shawn, Haley, and newest addition baby Iruma.
Terry is predeceased by her parents, John Haley (Bernice), Jessie Archibald (Eddie), and sister Nita Haley (Richard).
Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, New Waterford.
If you so wish, donations may be made to the cancer society. There will be a private burial at a later date.
