GERALD EARLE MOORE
G. Earle Moore, 77, of Deep Cove, passed away at home on May 21, 2024. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Gerald Earle and Phyllis Marguerite (Publicover) Moore.
Earle began his career as a refrigeration and air conditioning technician, working for many years at Karlsen’s in New Harbour and Clearwater in Lunenburg. In his later working years, he transitioned to driving for George Zinck.
Earle was an avid hunter. When it wasn’t hunting season, he could often be found in his woodpile, meticulously preparing firewood for the colder months. His garage was his sanctuary, a place where he spent countless hours puttering, fixing, creating, and completing projects with his resourcefulness and ingenuity.
He enjoyed camping and card games. He was an avid reader and often shared his favorite stories with family and friends. He had a sweet tooth and was known for his love of desserts, rarely passing up an opportunity to indulge in a delicious treat.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 43 years, Sharon (DeMond), daughter, Stephanie, Vancouver; son, Greg (Andrea), Blandford; granddaughter, Lainey; sister, Colleen, Hubbards; brother, Mack, Halifax. He was predeceased by his brothers, Lloyd, Louis; nephews, David, Derek.
He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Cremation has taken place. A private burial will be held at a later date.
