OBITUARY OF EDITH MARJORIE BOUTILLIER, 90, OF ROCKINGHAM.
BORN DECEMBER 29, 1933
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mom Edie, on November 24, 2024 at Arborstone Enhanced Care.
Born in Lattie’s Brook, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Jean Burton. Edie will be sadly missed by daughters Darlene (Rocky), Linda, Patti (Enos), Carol (Tom), Sandy (Les) and Nadine; grandchildren Fralynn, Mark, Jonathan, Jeff, Michelle, Kristopher, Christian, Jill and Melissa; great-grandchildren Austin, Rebecca, Lucas, Rose, Karter, Ian, Quinn, Lainey, Lucy, Carson, Rory, Millie and Ivy; sisters Jane and Stella, brother Art, as well as several nieces and nephews. Edie was pre-deceased by husband Stanley, brother Dean, brothers-in-law Ozzie and Wes, sister-in-law Barb, son-in-law Fraser.
Edie was very active both with family and community. A lifetime member with Girl Guides of Canada, a founding and active member of St. Peter’s Church and the Lady’s Guild as well as Bosom Buddies and Pals. Edie loved nature, camping, sewing, quilting and crafts, always keeping her hands nimble. The family would like to thank the staff of the 3rd floor at Arborstone Enhanced Care for their loving care over the past 5 1/2 years.
Service will be held at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, 3 Dakin Drive, Birch Cove, Thursday November 28, 2024 at 11:00 am with reception to follow in the church hall. Burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Peter’s Anglican Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral HOme, 198 Coldbrook Villiage Park Dr, Coldbrook, NS B4R1R9, 902-679-2822
