Wentzell, Frances Laverne – age 88 of Scarsdale, passed away March 22, 2024, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, with her family by her side. Born in Barss Corner on September 26, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Dennis and Dorothy (Barkhouse) Moore. Frances is survived by daughters, Brenda (Lennis) Corkum, Newburne; Frances Silver, Scarsdale; Gaye (Terry) Meisner, Maplewood; Dawn (Kevin) D’Arcy, Scarsdale; Cynthia (Terry) Oickle, Stanburne; Krista (Stephen) Emino, Watford; Madelyn (John) Steele, Riverport; Carla Hirtle, Dublin Shore; Sandra (Darrell) Hardy, Crescent Beach; son, Robert “Andy” (Wendy) Looke, Scarsdale; sisters, Florence Wentzell, Ethel Wentzell, Ellen Wentzell, Marie Perron, Irene Mader and Ardyth Boss; brothers, Douglas Moore and Llewellyn Moore; grandchildren, Jason, Tina, Danielle, Nicki, Shannon, Matthew, Giselle, Megan, Alana, Daniel, Corey, Mark, Emily, Olivia, Camille, Ben, Danica, Jesse, Noah, and Alleah; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Frances was predeceased by her husband, Royce; sisters, Margaret Mansfield, Annie Wood, Hazel Zwicker, and Helen Rennie; brothers, Arthur Moore, and George Moore.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 27 in Emmanuel Baptist Church of Parkdale-Maplewood, Pastor Sam Jess officiating. Private family interment to follow in Parkdale-Maplewood Community Cemetery. The public is invited to a reception following in Parkdale-Maplewood Community Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frances’ memory may be made to the Emmanuel Baptist Church of Parkdale-Maplewood.
