Obituary
Smith, Anna Emma – 91, of Roseway Manor, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2024 at Roseway Manor. Born on August 30, 1933 she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Lillian (Atkinson) Nickerson. Anna’s first love was her family. She always had delicious meals for all of us and half of the children in the neighbourhood. Anna’s home was a very good landing spot for everyone. In her later years she always has a puzzle on the go, and was happy to jump aboard anytime someone was going for a drive. Many folks, young and old have been blessed to receive her hand knit dish cloths over the years. She is survived by her children, Walton (Greta), Anita (Ronnie) Hopkins, Elwin (Crystal), Victor (Tracy) and Landon (Sunday); brother, Edwin and sister, Shirley; grandchildren, Gina, Maureen, Cory, Della, Jody, Gloria, Natina, Devon, Jimmy, Billy, Corey and Kyle; 19 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Anna was predeceased by her husband, Emerson; daughters, Gloria Smith and Angela (Gerard) Aylward; siblings, Gerald, Pauline, Myrthis, Josephine and half-brother, Lindey. There will be a public visitation held from 7-9 pm on Saturday, September 28, at the H. M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 29 at 11:00 am from the H.M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association, Roseway Manor Van Fund or any charity of choice.
