BAKER, Barbara Ann, 77 of Petit De Grat
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Ann (Landry) Baker of Petit de Grat, which occurred at St. Anne’s Community & Nursing Care Center in Arichat on April 14, 2024.
Born on May 11, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Lenus and Mary Amanda (Fougere) Landry.
Barbara lived in Petit De Grat with the love of her life, Peter. Barbara embodied the true meaning of family and although her and Peter were not blessed with children of their own, they took great pride in their families and being part of their family’s lives, following each and every celebration and special moment with pride. As their families continued to grow, Barbara and Peter never missed and opportunity to show their love and support and even after Barbara lost the love of her life, she kept their love and pride for their families alive and never missed making each and every person feel special. Barbara had a beautiful relationship with Peter’s family in NFLD and although she wasn’t able to visit in some time, she kept in close contact and kept those relationships close to her heart.
Barbara’s love and pride for their family and for Peter’s fishing career was obvious in her numerous picture albums and framed photos. She treasured each and every picture and spoke with pride when telling the story behind it. Anyone that visited can attest that Barabara was in her glory sharing her treasured photo albums and news clippings. Barbara also took great pride in supporting her love during his fishing career. Barbara beamed with pride at all of Peter’s accomplishments and hard work and loved to sit beside him and reminisce about his adventures. Everyone who knew Barbara knew she loved to play cards and she loved her bingo games, both tv bingo and group games, but for Barbara, there was no jackpot bigger than her’s and Peter’s families. Those relationships will forever be treasured by those of us left behind.
You’re beautiful, you’re endless. Now stretch your wings and fly. You’re loved by so many, it will never be goodbye. No more tears, just go and rest. Let your soul lie peacefully, we know you did your best.
