With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Anna Elizabeth Huskins, a vibrant and loving matriarch, after a courageous battle with Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. Her unwavering spirit and infectious laughter will forever be etched in the hearts of those who loved her. Born on March 22, 1964, in Palmerston, Ontario, Anna’s adventurous spirit led her to call Hubbards, Nova Scotia, home. Her charismatic personality and captivating smile could light up any room.
Devoted wife of Paul, cherished mother of Tammy (Todd), Joseph, Stephanie, and Jessy, and proud grandmother of Nadine, Hannah-Lee, Bo, Aiden, Ella, Meika, Scarlett, and Layla-Jane, Anna’s family was her greatest joy. Her love and dedication inspired countless memories, and her legacy will continue through them.
Anna’s passion for the great outdoors was unmatched. She found solace and happiness camping under starry skies and exploring nature’s beauty. She was Paul’s biggest supporter at the racetrack, always cheering him on with enthusiasm and pride.
Anna is predeceased by her parents, Carl and Pauline, and brothers Jimmy, Dave, and Donald. She leaves behind her loving sisters, Debbie and Paula.
Anna’s resilience in the face of her illness inspired all who knew her. Despite the challenges of Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, she lived a full life, and her determination will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, dear Anna. Your sparkling presence will be deeply missed, but your memory will continue to warm the hearts of all who loved you.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Anna’s memory and share stories of her remarkable life. Details will be announced once arrangements are finalized.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alpha-1 Foundation or the Canadian Lung Association would honour Anna’s memory and support research into Alpha-1 anti trypsin deficiency.
