It is with great sadness we announce the
passing of Richard Wayne McKay, age 74,
of Amherst. Richard passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023 at the
Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.
Born in Amherst, NS, he was a son of the
late Allison Gallant and Isabella McKay.
Richard loved a good yard sale and doing
puzzles. He will be dearly missed by his son James (Julie Paris) of
Amherst.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased
by his wife Carolyn
Arrangements are under the care and
supervision of the Jones Family Funeral
Centre, 70 Church Street, Amherst, NS
(902-667-8777). Honouring Richard’s wishes, cremation has
taken place and a graveside service will take place in the
Spring.
For those wishing to do so, donations in
memory of Richard may be made to the Diabetic
Association.
