Obituary of Brenda Lynn Robina Dunfield
It is with saddened hearts that the family of the late Brenda Lynn Robina Dunfield announce her passing on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Sus, NB on June 24, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Elsie (Mackenzie) Mitton.
Brenda, will live on in the hearts of her children: Derek Dunfield (Stacey) of Berwick, and Mackenzie Dunfield, also of Berwick; her grandchildren: Brianna (Sawyer), Shelby, Keira, Dax, Michael; her honorary children and grandchildren, Tracey, Patrick, Isaac, and Annie; her brothers: Bill Mitton (Jackie) of Moncton, Travis Mitton of Sus, Tim Mitton of Penobsquis, Craig Mitton (Judy) of Knightville, Cecil Mitton (Linda) of Moncton, Danny Mitton, Jeff Mitton (Kelly) of Penobsquis; and her sisters: Colleen Piers (Gary) of Sus Corner, Peggy Francis (Stephen) of Norton, and Patti Sherwood (Mark) of Jeffries Corner. Brenda is also survived by her sisters-in-law: Maureen Mitton of Sus, Linda Mills (George) of Ontario, Jean Ewart of Sus Corner, and Ann Hawkes (Allan) of Sus Corner. Brenda is also survived by her several nieces and nephews, as well as her sister by heart, Colleen Fair (John) of Millstream.
Besides her parents, Brenda was predeceased by her loving husband, Murray; her son, Todd; her brothers, Glen Mitton and Ronald Mitton; her brother-in-law, John Dunfield; and her sister-in-law, Doris Mitton.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus, NB (506-433-1176) from where a visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 26, from 4-8pm. A celebration of Brenda’s life will take place on Thursday, June 27 at 1:00pm from the Wesley United Church in Berwick (958 Route 880, Berwick, NB).
