1944-2024
Patricia Ann Pine, 80 passed
away peacefully on May 30, 2024 after a long battle with dementia. She
was born on January 4, 1944 in Canaan, CT to the late James and
Corrine Hughes. Pat married the love of her life, Vincent Pine on July
5, 1964 and together they had two children.
Pat graduated Rockland High
School in 1962. She was a member of the Methodist Church and sang in
the choir in Rockland, worked at Van Baalen, Courier Gazette and Boca
Raton for many years. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, skiing,
knitting, sewing, spending summers on Metinic, and tending her
vegetable gardens.
Pat and Vince moved to Deer
Island, NB in 2003. They shared their time between Deer Island and
their place on Jameson Island. She was very involved with the Lamberts
Cove Baptist Church. She became a Canadian Citizen in
2007.
She is survived by her
husband, Vincent; daughter, Kristin Pine; son, Stephen Pine, his wife
Cathy; granddaughters, Alexis Pine Tozier, her husband Kolby and Casey
Pine; brother, Joe Hughes, his wife Becky; nephew, Nick Hughes and
great-nieces: Emily and Aubrey Hughes, sister -in -law, Vivian Kennedy
her husband Maurice; brother -in -law, Maitland Pine, his wife Nola;
many nieces and nephews and a special childhood friend, Linda Fifield
Wheeler. She is predeceased by her parents and her nephew, Michael
Hughes.

Nurses, the Deer Island Community Help Center also to Candy Hunter;
Lois and Dale Mitchell and Cole and Kat Attridge for their kindness
and support during this difficult time.
Arrangements are under the
care of St. George Funeral Home, 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB
(506-755-3533). There will be a private burial service at a later
date.
