Jean-Louis Donelle, 87, of Moncton and formerly of Shediac,
passed away on Thursday January 11, 2024 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont
UHC. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Louis and Emma
(Duguay) Donelle.
Jean-Louis was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force as an
air traffic controller for 26 years. He served in Germany, Manitoba,
Prince Edward Island, Québec, New Brunswick and Labrador.
After retiring from the RCAF, he worked as a commissionaire for
numerous years.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth (Leger);
two daughters: Catherine-Ann Schneider (Bill) of Lowman, NY, and
Francine Drake (late Josh) of Altus, OK; one son, Bernard (Perry
Paddock) of Moncton; three grandchildren: Ryan, Alisha, and Joshua;
three great-grandchildren: Lori-Beth, Trace, and Rolan; six siblings:
Jeannette, Clorice (Jeanine), Donald (late Ruth), Fred (Lita), Paul
(Annette), and Willie; as well as several nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one son, Michael;
as well as several sisters and brothers.
As per his wishes there will be no visitation. The funeral
service will be celebrated at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre,
88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Thursday January 18 at
11:30 am. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe.
